Today, we went on our last IAU excursion of the semester. Time is flying by! Today’s trip took us to Isle sur la Sorgue, a town known as the Provincial Venice because of the small canals that run through this island city. They have a fantastic market and lots of antique shops. It was fun to poke around, admire the antiques, and dream of my future house.
After that we went to Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, which is a small town with a gorgeous spring feeding the town. There are many small restaurants and cafés with tables lining the river offering patrons some fantastic views. The water coming out of the source is bright green! Despite being a bit overcast, it was a gorgeous fall day, and for some reason it really felt like Thanksgiving! I was reminded of many thanksgiving trips to the mountains, enjoying strolls along rivers and hikes in the colored leaves.
That’s all for today, folks. I’ve got some homework to do in order to get ready for the rest of the week. Enjoy a few pictures from the trips!
